The Yolo County Democratic Party will host its 40th Annual Bean Feed BBQ ‘n’ Brew dinner event on Sunday, October 9, from 4 to 8pm at Veterans Memorial Center in Davis.
In this historic election year, as we work to elect our nation’s first woman president, the theme for our landmark 2016 event is “Democrats Win, Women Win.” Scheduled speakers will highlight the changing role of women in modern America – as mothers, workers, entrepreneurs and leaders.
There will also be a screening of the presidential town hall scheduled to be televised that evening.
The event will feature live jazz and contemporary music, sparkling conversation and home-cooked barbecue cuisine from Davis Firefighters Local No. 3494 and the River City Democratic Club of
West Sacramento. Both bottled and tap local craft brews will be on offer at our cash bar.
In addition to the popular Democrats Dessert Dash contest, this year guests can compete for a dance with elected officials and candidates, or bid in a silent auction featuring visual and wearable art by local artists.
Standard Admission is just $30 per individual, or $50 per couple, in advance; Individual tickets will be $35 at the door. To order tickets online, visit http://www.dinner.yolodems.org.
The annual Bean Feed BBQ ‘n’ Brew is the primary fundraiser of the Yolo County Democratic Party and provides hundreds of Democrats from Yolo and neighboring counties an opportunity to
network, socialize, galvanize, and focus on the work to be done in the election year ahead. All are welcome to attend.
