  1. The reason? Old people don’t commit violent crimes. At some point, they are almost unable to do so, and they’re no longer angry enough either.

    They realize they have less time in front of them, then they do in back of them. At which point they might ask themselves how much more damage they want to inflict on others (if they’re even capable in the first place).

    These people might get a “do-over” when they die, but no one knows (despite what many claim).

    Go into any prison, and ask yourself how much more damage some 70+ year old convict can inflict upon others.
