On Sunday, September 18, from 6 pm to 8 pm, the Davis Vanguard will host a DJUSD School Board Candidates Forum. The event will be held at Community Chambers located at 23 Russell Blvd. in Davis.School Board candidates Susan Lovenburg, Alan Fernandes, Bob Poppenga, and Jose Granda will all participate in the candidates’ forum.
The election features four candidates for two 4-year seats. All candidates have agreed to participate in the candidates’ forum, which will include questions selected by the moderator that were submitted by the candidates and, if time allows, some audience questions.
David… in the interest of transparency, you should share ALL questions that the individual candidates submitted, and your reasons for selecting the ones you use. At least at some point, before November.
No answer, so assume the ‘concept’ is rejected… will keep that in mind as we approach the so-called “forum”… Probably a David-led/orchestrated “event”… with all his ‘filters’… we’ll see how the questions are asked, as to David ‘supports’… I can guess…
First, I won’t be the one selecting the ones to use, the candidates will select their own question to ask. Second, we will also have weekly questions starting the week after the candidates forum, I may use some of the questions there. We have used this format for each forum since 2012, and I have never heard a complaint about the format or fairness.
So, you will not be the moderator…
