San Francisco Reports Lowest Homelessness Levels Since 2011

Preliminary results from San Francisco’s 2026 Point-in-Time Count indicate a decline in the city’s homeless population, reaching its lowest recorded level since 2011. This assessment, however, is accompanied by acknowledged questions from both advocates and municipal officials regarding modifications to the count’s methodological framework.

No Tows without Homes

The Coalition on Homelessness is calling on the city of San Francisco to halt the towing and displacement of RV residents, as the city’s RV parking ban went into effect on November 1st and the Large Vehicle Refuge Permit Program has been plagued with bureaucratic issues.
