Saving California Communities, a group of Davis community members exploring options for state government reform, will sponsor a no-host dinner conversation with Fred Keeley on Wednesday, April 8, at 6:30 pm at Aioli’s Restaurant, 808 2nd St., Davis.
Keeley’s topic will be “State Reform: Why Is This Time Different From All Other Times?” A former state Assemblymember, Keeley is currently a member of the California Commission on the 21st Century Economy. The Commission, charged with suggesting changes to state and local revenues that will result in a funding stream more stable and reflective of the California economy, will be making their final report in July of this year. Keeley also serves on the boards of California Forward and Voices of Reform.

Republicans disguised as Democrats or conservative Democrats who would be Republicans in other communities. They do this under the guise of bi-partisanship is an old game we’ve seen over and over. Proceed with extreme caution. Think about it. With term limits elected officials have to find something to do with their time so they create a new group.
