We are coming to the end of another year here at the Davis Vanguard. It has been a very good year, another record breaking year in terms of readership.
In July, we brought in some of the top speakers in the state on the issue of ending the death penalty in California.
And in October we sponsored our first full-on candidates forum for the school board candidates.
In between, we provided some of the best coverage in the community of the issues and news that matter to local residences.
The Vanguard is a 501(c)(3) non-profit. We rely on donations from our readers to pay the bills.
Your donations to the Vanguard are tax deductible. Here is your last chance to get tax write offs for 2012.
Moreover, the Vanguard is in the process of raising money for a new website overhaul. It has been nearly four years since the Vanguard upgraded to the current davisvanguard.org site. But times are changing and we need to move with the times.

We will donate David but please ask the webmaster to address the issue of having to log in repeatedly. If no one has brought it to your attention, for me every third time or so I want to comment, I won’t be able to and will be directed to log in. When I go to that page, it already knows it’s me and I don’t have to log in but then do have to re enter the DV site. Lots of extra steps for ? Reason. Thanks.
