Assemblymember Dodd appointed to Key Committees

Dodd-BillAssemblymember Bill Dodd (D-Napa) was appointed by Assembly Speaker Toni G. Atkins to serve on five key committees for the 2015-16 Regular Session. Assemblymember Dodd will serve on the Agriculture Committee, Business and Professions Committee, Rules Committee, Transportation Committee, and the Water, Parks and Wildlife Committee. Speaker Atkins also appointed Assemblymember Dodd to serve on the Joint Committee on Fairs, Allocation and Classification.

“I am honored by these appointments from Speaker Atkins,” Assemblymember Dodd said, “The issues covered by these committees are truly crucial for our district and the state of California.”

“I am excited to serve our communities and advance our districts priorities through these committees. Jobs, water and transportation infrastructure, and environmental stewardship are of critical importance, and these committee appointments provide an excellent opportunity to address these issues.”

The Speaker of the Assembly appoints Assemblymembers to committees at the start of every two-year session. Assemblymember Dodd was elected to the Assembly in November and was sworn into office on December 1, 2014, the first day of the 2015-16 Legislative Session.

Assemblymember Bill Dodd represents the 4th Assembly District, which includes all or portions of Yolo, Napa, Sonoma, Lake, Solano, and Colusa Counties.
