There will be a coffee to meet School Board Candidates and learn about the extension of Measure H Parcel Tax—which will maintain smaller class sizes.
Susan Lovenburg and Alan Fernandes will be at an informal coffee Saturday between 2 and 4pm to talk to voters and answer questions. It is at the home of Alan Hirsch & Vera Sandronsky- 1711 Redwood Lane x E14th St/Villanova. This is a chance to ask questions about the many initiatives these incumbents have guided over the last two year—and initiatives they want to champion in the future.
Issues residents might want to inquire about include: impact of adding back counselors in our elementary school, the new High School MPR, replacing worn out portable class rooms at our school, the implementation of Common Core, the result of the first two years of the district’s new Strategic Plan and more outreach to parents and improved feedback surveys from Parents and Students. The evolution of the GATE program and the move to more individualized instruction in all classes, might also be a topic some might wish to make inquiry.
