Slowly over the last few months, the Vanguard has been expanding its revenue base through advertising and monthly donors. This revenue helps to pay for increasing ongoing costs for running the website.
Now as we head into mid-June, we are in need of further expanding the monthly donor base.
Despite our small setbacks with the site in December and March, we have had a good year moving from 2000 to 3000 unique visits to over 6000 daily. We have continued to expand our coverage. But there is more that we want to do and to do it, we need the money for upgrades to our site, ongoing expenses and down the line paid help.
We have a goal this week, just 40 people to sign up and contribute $10 a month. If you believe what we are doing is worthwhile and a value to our community, please make your pledge today. For less than the cost of a monthly newspaper subscription, you can keep the Vanguard running.
