EVENT: Party at the Ranch

Have fun and make a difference in American democracy at the first West Yolo Democratic Club fundraiser, “Party at the Ranch.”

Scheduled for June 26 at the Richard and Evelyne Rominger ranch in Winters, the party features Mexican food, wine from the Rominger West Winery, music by the Dick Livingston Jazz Duo, and a silent art and artifacts auction.
The proceeds from this special fundraiser will help pay for the West Yolo Democratic Club get-out-the-vote campaign for the 2012 election.  Winters and West Yolo residents, many of Mexican heritage, will be enfranchised through the voter registration campaign, a step toward continuing the democratic process in the area.

Festivities begin at 5:00 with a silent auction for art and artifacts from local artists and donors, a chance to get good bargains while supporting a good cause.  Dinner follows with Mexican food catered by El Pueblo restaurant of Winters.

At 7:00 former Congressman Pete McCloskey, one of California’s first environmental lawyers and farmer in the Capay Valley, will talk.  Richard Rominger, former California Secretary of Agriculture and Deputy Secretary of Agriculture under President Clinton, will introduce McCloskey.

The West Yolo Democratic Club mission is to prepare for a critical election in 2012 and to improve voter registration in Winters and West Yolo County.
