McGuire Latest Elected Official from 4th Assembly District to Support Wolk

Davis Mayor Dan Wolk announced today that he has received the endorsement of State Senator Mike McGuire in his campaign for the 4th Assembly District. McGuire joins more than 50 other state and local officials from all corners of the district who have endorsed Wolk, including 19 county officials and nine mayors.

McGuire represents the 2nd State Senate District, which stretches from Marin County to the Oregon border, including Sonoma and Lake Counties. He represents approximately twenty percent of all voters in the 4th Assembly District.

“We need Dan’s energy, tireless work ethic and unwavering commitment to deliver for Northern California,” said McGuire. “He’ll fight for strong public schools, good jobs and he’ll be a champion to reinvest in our crumbling infrastructure.”

In the State Senate, McGuire has led efforts that have generated historically high levels of investment in local roads, bridges and highways and has been a champion for strong public schools and Career Technology Education. He is a tireless advocate for the environment and has helped protect and preserve tens of tens of thousands of acres of open space, watersheds and coast.

McGuire’s endorsement builds on Wolk’s strong momentum. In recent weeks, he has announced the support of nine local mayors, including every mayor in Napa County, the entire Solano County Board of Supervisors and a number of other key state and local officials. A full list of Wolk’s endorsements can be found at DanWolk.org.

Currently serving as Mayor, Wolk has been on the Davis City Council since 2011. He works as a Deputy County Counsel for Solano County, handling public finance, public contracting and water issues. He is also the founder of the Legal Clinic of Yolo County, a legal services provider for low-income families.

Assembly District 4 consists of Napa and Lake Counties, most of Yolo County, as well as portions of Sonoma, Solano and Colusa Counties.
