Vanguard Takes Thanksgiving Vacation

thanksgiving

The Vanguard will take its annual Thanksgiving break with no articles Thursday or Friday and a single article queued up for Saturday as well as Sunday, just for fun. These are the only days out of the year that I take off.

When we return, in addition to our normal coverage, we will be launching our new Court Watch Speaker series. Our first event is December 13 at 4 pm, location to be determined, on the Family Courts and protection of children – Has the System Failed Vulnerable Children?

In addition, keep the Vanguard in mind for your year-end donations. As a 501(c)3 non-profit, we rely on your donations to meet our financial obligations.

Currently we need to be raising about $2000 in addition each month to pay our bills. We will be launching a 150-subscriber push for December to reduce that burden. To become a subscriber or make a donation click here.

Happy Thanksgiving and I’ll see you next week.

  1. These are the only days out of the year that I take off.

You should try taking 1 day off per week.  Like Saturday.  The difference between working 7 days a week and 6 days a week is “on the 7th day he rested”.   It turns a blur into a blur with a pause.  Much better for the human psyche.  There is no nobility in workaholism.  Also, gives your poor volunteer staff a break as well.

    Just sayin’.
