Public Input Sought on Clerk-Recorder/Assessor/Registrar of Voters

Vote HereWith the retirement of Yolo County Clerk-Recorder//Assessor/Registrar of Voters Freddie Oakley, the Yolo County Board of Supervisors has embarked on a process to appoint a successor to complete the remainder of the term ending January 8, 2019. While statute does not allow the board to call for a mid-term election, they have an interest in obtaining public input on the skills and qualities necessary to carry out the duties of the office.

Yolo County residents can provide feedback by either: 1) attending the January 12, 2016 Board of Supervisors meeting, held at 9:00 a.m. in Board Chambers, Room 206 of the Erwin Meier Administration Building at 625 Court Street in Woodland; or 2) by completing the survey found on www.yolocounty.org by January 22, 2016.

  1. Thought this was a done deal, the Son-in-law of Oakley will get it. Pat Blacklock made the choice to get the rubber stamp from the Supes?

Incredible – The consolidation of the Elected offices in Yolo County that later become Appointed Offices is also strange to me. But hey, family Tree, right?
