Volunteer to read with 1st to 4th graders during the Davis Joint Unified School District summer school program at Birch Lane Elementary, 1600 Birch Lane. Volunteers are currently being recruited for Wednesdays from June 22 through July 20. Volunteers will read students for 90 minute sessions from 8:30 to 10:00 AM and/or 10:15 to 11:45 AM. Advance training for volunteers will be provided on Friday, June 17 from 1:30 to 2:30 PM in the Birch Lane Multipurpose Room. Volunteers of all ages welcome.
