Poppenga is the best choice

I am the grandmother of two children in the Davis public schools. I am also a retired speech and language pathologist who worked in the public school system in Southern California for 30 years.
I have met Bob Poppenga and was very impressed with his knowledge of the processes that allow children to succeed and mature. He has demonstrated a desire and ability to build and strengthen our schools at all educational levels.
I believe that Bob Poppenga is the ideal candidate for school board trustee.

I would like to share my views as to why Bob Poppenga is an excellent candidate for the Davis school board. For more than a decade, I have worked closely with Bob on several committees, and have always appreciated his thoughtful, level-headed and practical approach.
As an individual who earned his D.V.M. and Ph.D. through public education, with two children in our Davis school system, and being a public educator himself, Bob has plenty of real-life experience in the public schools.
Bob and I have had many discussions regarding public education and he has tremendous insight and constructive ideas for optimizing the learning opportunities for our children. He is an individual who approaches issues objectively — he gathers facts, collects thoughts, listens to opinions from numerous constituents and then formulates a solution that focuses on core elements.
I believe that Bob’s goal-oriented focus and his personal and professional background make him the best candidate for this position. I hope Davis citizens will join me in endorsing Bob Poppenga to represent our children.
