Davis College Democrats Presents 12th Annual Indigo Awards

(From Press Release) – The Davis College Democrats are proud to announce the 12th Annual Indigo Awards, taking place at The John Natsoulas Gallery on April 15th 2019 from 7-9pm. Every year, we honor one UCD alumnus, one local elected official, and one statewide honoree that have shown exceptional dedication to furthering Democratic Party goals. This year we have chosen to highlight the leadership of Democratic women across our state by honoring three female-identifying Democrats: CA State Treasurer Fiona Ma, Davis Mayor Pro-Tempore Gloria Partida, and local progressive activist Melissa Johnson.

Tickets costs $10 for students, $25 for non-students and sponsorship levels start at $100 then $250, $500, and $1000. This event is integral to our efforts to represent student democrats and fight for the change our country needs. Last year your support enabled us to:

  1. Register 800 additional student voters
  2. Provide over 1000 hours of campaign work with 3,800 doors knocked across four congressional districts and one senate race in the 2018 midterm election.
  3. Provide key advocacy for three housing developments adding 3000 beds to our city during a housing crisis.

With your help we can extend this success into the 2020 election season and ensure that Davis’ rich history of political activism lives on. Contributions can be sent to www.actblue.com/page/indigoawards2019 or to P.O. Box 74305 Davis, CA 95617.
