Ajay Dev has been in prison for nearly 10 years for charges that many believe were unfounded. His appellate team has filed a writ of Habeas Corpus and he has been granted what figures to be an ongoing series of evidentiary hearing perhaps as soon as this summer.
Vanguard Court Watch Interns discuss the case of Ajay Dev, convicted of rape in 2009 and sentenced to 378 years in prison. The Vanguard Court Watch Interns have been reviewing his trial transcripts and discuss whether they believe him to be wrongly convicted. The is the second of three parts.

Or, in Newsome’s case, probably not until he’s a ‘lame duck’, about to leave office… that seems to have a high correlation to gubernatorial pardons issued… no risk, no sentience needed…
So much for integrity of electeds…
Nixon was lucky… he accidentally stepped on Gerald Ford’s foot, and said “pardon me”… Ford, having several concussions while playing college football, took him literally…
It’s not something people are likely to share publicly until the Governor has acted. Newsom’s already commuted some sentences so I don’t think he’s going to wait until he’s about to leave office.
Good to see that the Vanguard is watching this case like a hawk. DAs can’t be trusted to audit themselves.
