Orange County Jails Blamed for High In-Custody Death Rate, ACLU Report Finds
The ACLU of Southern California released a report this week that documents systemic medical neglect, delayed care and a lack of accountability in Orange County jails, which has resulted in at least 119 deaths between 2010 and 2021, nearly half of which occurred within one month of booking.
