As the election draws nearer, Davis School board candidate Bob Poppenga is energetically reaching out to members of the community with multiple events this week.
Wednesday, Oct. 22, Former City Council member and retired DJUSD teacher Deborah Poulos and her husband John Poulos will host a meet and greet at 1515 Shasta Drive 4 to 5 PM .
Friday, October 24, Free talk about Poison Proofing Homes for Pets, Pet Food Express, 2171 Cowell Blvd., 3 to 4 PM .
Friday, October 24, Meet and greet at the home of Craig and Lori Kibbe at 4221 Vista Way, from 5-7 pm. Light refreshments will be served. Please RSVP to thekibbes@sbcglobal.net.
Sunday, October 26. Meet and greet at Toad Hollow Dog Park from 10-12:00pm. Poppenga will be handing out dog treats and talking about schools, kids and pets.

Poppenga is a parent of two, an active parent volunteer, a veterinarian and a professor of veterinary toxicology for almost 10 years. He is one of seven candidates seeking three open seats on the Davis Board of Education in the Nov. 4 election.
