Join Madhavi Sunder For School Board This Wednesday For A Meet-And-Greet At The Poulos Home In West Davis

Energized by the enthusiasm, support, and goodwill the campaign continues to generate and receive, Families for Madhavi Sunder reaches out to more constituents.  Pictured here are Madhavi with some of her youngest supporters, spreading the campaign message of “Strong Schools/Strong Davis!”  Photograph by Rik Keller Photography.

On Wednesday, October 22, at 4 p.m., former City Councilmember and retired DJUSD teacher Deborah Poulos and her husband John Poulos will host a meet-and-greet reception for school board candidate Madhavi Sunder at their home in West Davis.  To RSVP (and to obtain the house address), please email SunderForSchools@gmail.com.

The Sunder campaign is honored to have earned the support of many teachers, elected officials, and prominent entities.  Included among the campaign’s many endorsers are the Davis Teachers Association, the Davis Enterprise, the Sacramento Bee, the Yolo County Democratic Party, the Davis College Democrats, State Senator Lois Wolk, State Assemblywoman Mariko Yamada, Davis Mayor Dan Wolk, and Davis Mayor Pro Tem Robb Davis.  For a complete list of endorsements, please visit http://www.sunderforschools.org/endorsements.

Madhavi Sunder, a professor of law at UC Davis since 1999, is a daughter of immigrants, attended public schools before graduating from Harvard and from Stanford Law School, and actively participates in the Davis community.   She is the only candidate to visit all 20 schools in Davis and has catalogued her tour, along with beautiful photographs of each campus taken by Rik Keller Photography at http://www.sunderforschools.org/schooltour.

Anyone interested in learning more about Madhavi can follow her at Facebook.com/SunderForSchoolBoard and at SunderForSchools.org .
