Cecilia Aguiar-Curry has received the endorsement of current Yolo County Supervisor Duane Chamberlain and former Yolo County Supervisor Besty Marchand (the county’s first-ever woman Supervisor) for her campaign for Assembly District 4.
“I am proud to endorse Cecilia for the California State Assembly. She is the hardest-working mayor I know. Every day she works for the people of Winters because she cares deeply about her community. I trust she will work just as hard for the residents of the Assembly district,” said Chamberlain.
“Her leadership on such issues as broadband access is admirable. I know she will continue to level the playing field to rural residents.
I don’t always agree with her, but she is a woman of integrity and I respect that. Whether you like it or not, Cecilia tells it like it is. She is a straight-shooting, honest person.”
Cecilia Aguiar-Curry is the current Mayor of Winters, a businesswoman, and, along with her three brothers, is a co-owner of a small walnut farm. She has served on the Winters Planning Commission, Winters City Council and is now the first woman Mayor of Winters. Cecilia has also been a Board Member of the Water Resources Association of Yolo County and Sacramento Area Council of Governments, and Chair of the Yolo County Housing Commission.
With a history of regional accomplishment, Cecilia has been instrumental in revitalizing Winters, bringing a new $75 million PG&E Training Facility to the community, fighting to end the digital divide and improve broadband access in the region, and acquiring over $800,000 to provide all our school children with access to computers.
Cecilia is running to represent the 4th Assembly District, which encompasses the cities of American Canyon, Calistoga, Clearlake, Davis, Dixon, Lakeport, Napa, Rohnert Park, St. Helena, Williams, Winters, Woodland, and Yountville and all or portions of six counties.
