“Working for You” and “Thrive” highlight Saylor’s experience; commitment to fight childhood hunger and create an economy that works for everyone.
Today, the Don Saylor for State Assembly Campaign announced the launch of a substantial digital advertising campaign intended to introduce Saylor to voters across the district in advance of the Primary election in June. The campaign features two videos, “Working for You” and “Thrive.” They can be viewed at: http://www.donsaylor.org/video.
The videos highlight Saylor’s work as county supervisor to protect vital farmland from development and to create Food Connect, a program that helps kids, seniors, and low-wage workers get access to healthy food. In the Assembly, Saylor will promote more farm-to-table programs to fight hunger and continue working to make the economy thrive for everyone in California.
The ad campaign promotes a simple but strong message: Saylor has spent his life solving problems and getting government to work for everyone. He has fresh ideas and a long track record of getting things done. Saylor said, “The 4th district has a diverse and strong economy that serves many of us well, but some are getting left behind. We need a member of the Assembly who will fight to level the playing field and work to make sure that all families prosper.” He continued, “I look forward to introducing myself to voters across the district, listening to their concerns and fighting to make a difference in people’s lives.”
As the campaign in the 4th district begins to heat up, Saylor’s campaign continues to grow and build momentum. This week former Assembly Member Dennis Mangers endorsed him. Previously he was endorsed by Former State Senate President Darrell Steinberg, State Insurance Commissioner Dave Jones, Vice-Chair of the California Democratic Party Alexandra Gallardo-Rooker, Sonoma County Supervisors Efren Carillo, James Gore, Susan Gorin, and Shirlee Zane and more than 50 other current or former elected officials.
On Sunday morning, Saylor’s campaign will hold its first “Day of Action.” Volunteers are meeting in Davis to launch a grassroots door-to-door canvassing program.
Since 2011 Saylor has served on the Yolo County Board of Supervisors. From 2004-2010 he was Mayor and Councilmember in the City of Davis. He served as a trustee of the Davis Joint Unified School District from 1995-2003. Saylor has also chaired the Sacramento Area Council of Governments and was previously a legislative analyst for the California Legislature.
