Woodland, Calif. The Yolo County Democratic Party (YCDP) will host a public forum featuring Democratic Party candidates on Jan. 13 in Woodland. The forum will take place from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Yolo County Administration Building, 625 Court St. All are welcome to attend.
The forum panel will be comprised of six Democrats running for office in Senate District 3 or Assembly District 4. The forum will be moderated, with candidates responding to questions on water resources, retirement security, social justice, education, and financial reform. Both prepared questions and questions from the audience will be addressed to the panel.
“The Yolo County Democratic Party believes that voter knowledge and voter interaction with candidates is immensely important,” said Marlene Bell, YCDP Vice-Chair and forum moderator. “While the right to vote is of high priority, that voters are informed is of equal importance and the reason for this event.”
Panel participants will include Winters Mayor Cecilia Aguiar-Curry, running for Assembly District 4, Assemblyman Bill Dodd, running for Senate District 3; Gabe Griess, running for Senate District 3; Yolo County Supervisor Don Saylor, running for Assembly District 4; Davis Mayor Dan Wolk, running for Assembly District 4; and former Assemblymember Mariko Yamada, running for Senate District 3.
Admission to the forum is free, and refreshments will be provided. Attendees can also find out more about the Yolo County Democratic Party, YCDP’s upcoming events, and the projected 2016 elections calendar. Cage Match!
Better than CNN hosting Republican “debates” since they are not. Dem debates are so collegial. No one ever has a different opinion.
