YCRC welcomes Dan DeSantis, the outgoing Executive Director of the Yolo Community Foundation as the featured speaker. Dan is passionate about restorative justice and has years of experience as a peace maker. He will be sharing his path, through various careers, to promoting and facilitating alternative dispute resolution, mediation, and Restorative Justice processes.
Dan DeSantis grew up in Southern California. He earned a BA in Education from California State University, Northridge and received a Master’s in Public Administration from USC. Dan spent the first twenty years of his professional career as a hospital administrator. In 1999 he was hired by the Fresno Superior Court as their first Alternative Dispute Resolution administrator. After five years Dan left the court to become the CEO of the Fresno Regional Foundation. Dan left the Fresno area in 2014 to move to Davis to be near his grandchildren.
