March 18 Crab Feed Will Benefit Yolo Crisis Nursery

Tickets and sponsorships are now on sale for the fourth annual “Krustaceans for Kids” Crab Feed, to be held March 18 in Davis as a benefit for the Yolo Crisis Nursery.

The event will begin with a no-host wine and beer bar at 6 p.m. at the Veterans Memorial Center, 203 E. 14th St. An all-you-can-eat crab dinner will be served at 7 p.m. Side dishes include pasta with sauce, salad and bread. After dinner, cakes, pies and other desserts will be auctioned live.

Individual tickets cost $45 and can be purchased at www.yolocrisisnursery.org.

Sutter Health is the premiere event sponsor. Other sponsorships are also available for purchase at www.yolocrisisnursery.org; costs begin at $500 and include four to eight dinners.

Last year, the event sold out with more than 320 guests attending, and it raised $35,000. Proceeds support the nursery’s work to prevent child abuse and neglect by bridging emergency childcare with support for parents in resolving their problems. The crab feed is presented by the nonprofit’s all-volunteer fund-raising group, Friends of the Yolo Crisis Nursery.
