On April 29-30 the California Center for Cooperative Development will host its annual California Co-op Conference in Sacramento, California. Each year the conference demonstrates how cooperatives effectively create jobs, generate community wealth, and transform lives.
This year’s workshops range from basics, such as starting a co-op, to advanced topics that examine legal and technical issues. Conference registration is open to anyone interested.
The public is invited to join the Co-op Social on Friday April 29th for a conference kick-off of festivities with music, food, and drinks. Also join us for a Co-op Bus Tour on May 1st.
Tour participants will go behind the front doors of diverse co-ops to see and learn the “cooperative difference” for each, including: how they democratically govern the business, how the cooperative serves members, and how members share the profits or other benefits of the business.
The 2016 Bus Tour will visit four cooperatives in Davis and the surrounding area, and includes lunch. For prices and registration visit: http://cccd.coop/events/2016CCC
