State Assemblyman Bill Dodd’s campaign for state Senate today began airing a new television ad throughout Senate District 3 highlighting Dodd’s overwhelming level of support from individuals, newspapers and groups throughout the district. The ad is available here.

The spot highlights Dodd’s support from a breadth and depth of community leaders that is emblematic of his ability to bring people together to solve tough problems. That record has earned him the support of over 225 local elected officials ranging from mayors to sheriffs to school board members in the district.

Dodd also has near unanimous support from the district’s newspapers, who in recent days have grown to 12 of 13 publications.

The spot also features an appearance from Dodd’s ex-mother-in-law and seniors’ issues advocate, Betty Rhodes, who endorses him for Senate.

Dodd is running for the 3rd Senate District, which includes all of Napa and Solano Counties, as well as portions of Contra Costa, Sacramento, Sonoma and Yolo Counties. It includes the cities of Petaluma, Cotati, Rohnert Park, Sonoma, Pleasant Hill, Martinez, American Canyon, Calistoga, Napa, St. Helena, Yountville, Benicia, Dixon, Fairfield, Rio Vista, Suisun City, Vacaville, Vallejo, Davis, Winters, Woodland and Isleton.
