State Assemblyman Bill Dodd today announced receiving the endorsement of the California Young Democrats, the state’s leading association of young progressives, representing thousands throughout California.
“Bill Dodd’s leadership toward a stronger California that promotes greater economic opportunity, social equality, and environmental stewardship makes him the best candidate for Senate in District 3,” said Eddie Kirby, President of the California Young Democrats. “Bill’s vote to freeze university tuition in the last two state budgets, his work to close the gender pay equality gap, and commitment to our environment, particularly his efforts to ban offshore oil drilling and preserve thousands of acres of wilderness, shows a commitment to progressive values we find particularly worthy of our support.”
Dodd is running for the 3rd Senate District, which includes all of Napa and Solano Counties, as well as portions of Contra Costa, Sacramento, Sonoma and Yolo Counties. It includes the cities of Petaluma, Cotati, Rohnert Park, Sonoma, Pleasant Hill, Martinez, American Canyon, Calistoga, Napa, St. Helena, Yountville, Benicia, Dixon, Fairfield, Rio Vista, Suisun City, Vacaville, Vallejo, Davis, Winters, Woodland and Isleton.
Dodd is a Democrat from Napa County. After a successful 25-year business career, Dodd served four terms on the Napa County Board of Supervisors, and currently represents the 4th Assembly District.
