You say that now, but after a week of Vanguard stories that include:

Why the $15 minimum wage is a Bad Idea

Time to get rid of Public sector Unions

Liberals are “pro choice” on most things, why won’t they let people “choose” to pay Union Dues?

        and

Why UCD does not need transgender bathrooms

I’m not sure you would be as happy with the new editorial board…

        1. Having my opinions contradicted does not affect my happiness. Arrogance, presumption, and bigotry are what make me angry. When someone disagrees with an opinion of mine, and is capable of doing so in a rational, fact based way, I love those exchanges. People can even vehemently disagree with me, and I will not hold malice towards them. I only hold malice towards those who hold to their opinions based on pride alone, and not facts. People who would rather retreat to their pre established talking points and world views than actually be bothered to learn something new, or consider a differing opinion drive me nuts.

    1. BP, in the past I have talked in person to both Frankly and Miwok about joining the Editorial Board, and I have issued that same invitation to you here on the V (at the time of all three I was a Vanguard Editorial Board member, which I no longer am).  I think you would be a great addition to the Editorial Board, and renew my support of your taking the plunge.

      1. Feel likewise, and know I’d just get a “thank you for your interest, but…” response if I actually did… however, IF I applied, and was accepted, would require myself to “come out of” the pseudonym category.

Interesting how you “know” something before giving it a try. Why not come down and talk with us ? You might be right, you might be wrong…..either way, you don’t “know” until you are willing to put yourself out there.

    1. Alan, I would heartily support your candidacy for the Vanguard Editorial Board.  You would be a great addition to that merry band of men and women.

      1. I will take your recommendation with the same seriousness, joy and intention that I took when Bob Dunning wrote an article recommending I run for City Council.  I’d never met the man except nodding in passing.

Gotta go now.  Strapping on my wings and flapping furiously.  That pig is disappearing behind the site lines of where the fifth story of Lincoln 40 will/may be.  Gotta catch up to that pig.
