Happy Thanksgiving to all !
You too, doc! I’ve been thinking about retirement since you announced your intentions and may write a piece about that state of being and what I think it means these days. My only bit of practical advise is after listening to everyone’s well intended and considered advice and making your own plans, don’t try to make retirement as structured as career. Look, listen and allow yourself the serendipity of a truly free life.
Exciting to contemplate Biddlin! I wish you well in your decisions.
My husband calls it discretionary time….it is a gift. Don’t rush into anything before savoring it for it then decide how you want to use it.
Happy Thanksgiving Vanguarders.
you too, all you younguns…. Enjoy Turkey day…..and if I can figure out how to do it from where I am….I will share a lovely poem…
PS>>..Tia, once you asked and someone snuffed it…but google Bought the movie and then follow up on the pubs in pubmed…..and you will start learning some of the answers you wanted me to share….the references are in the movie and in the FB group of the same name and also there are email groups and other websites…..now that you are retiring, follow the money and learn the truth….your eyes will open…
PS> I would bet, if I were a betting lady, that each of you on this thread will only take on bigger and bigger projects and games in retirement…..right? of course…
some may even flop back and forth a bit in political parties, and also on the sides of local issues….and on bigger than local issues…perhaps even USA issues and world issues…who knows 🙂
May your stuffing be tasty may your turkey plump, may your potatoes and gravy have nary a lump. May your yams be delicious and your pies take the prize, and may your Thanksgiving dinner stay off your thighs! You are what you eat! That makes us all turkeys. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family.
Blessings to all…
David, glad you are taking several days off. Enjoy!
