Students in VITA is a non-profit student organization that offers free tax assistance to the low-income community. Our IRS-certified interns provide free income tax preparation to qualified households and individuals within the Yolo County area at weekly Davis tax sites.
Last year, we were able to help prepare 419 tax returns and give back over $325,600 in tax refunds to the community. We also received the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Award of Excellence – Partner of the Year in the year of 2015. This is the most prestigious award given to one out of 81 coalitions in the Northern California Oregon/Nevada region.
Our tax sites operate from Monday, January 30, 2017 to Saturday, April 15, 2017.

Tax sites will not operate from March 19 to April 2 due to academic holidays.
