LWV Candidates Debate in West Sac features DA and Sheriff

The non-partisan League of Women Voters (LWV) West Sacramento and Davis will cohost a Candidate’s Forum with Yolo County Sheriff and District Attorney Candidates on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 from 7 pm to 8:30 pm in The Galleria at City Hall, 1110 West Capitol Ave, West Sacramento. On the local Yolo County ballot on June 5, 2018, incumbent Yolo County Sheriff Ed Prieto is facing a challenge from Yolo County Deputy Tom Lopez. Incumbent Yolo County District Attorney Jeff Reisig is running against Public Defender Dean Johansson. All candidates were invited and have confirmed their attendance except Jeff Reisig, who had a scheduling conflict.

Forums are intended to present candidates to voters in an environment where voters can meet and question candidates without the rhetoric or negative ads, so voters can make an informed decision when they vote. Voters are invited to attend and learn more about each candidate. The April 3, 2018 forum will be the first of two forums that LWV West Sacramento and Davis will conduct in 2018. A second forum will be held September 25, 2018 focusing on candidates in the November 6, 2018 general election.
