Provide input on the 2040 Vision for Downtown Davis
The City of Davis is hosting two pop-up workshops and an online questionnaire to provide an opportunity for the public to provide additional thoughts and ideas for the next planning phase of the Downtown Davis Specific Plan.
The Downtown Davis Plan team will be at the Davis Farmers Market on Wednesday, September 26th from 4:30 p.m. to sunset. The Downtown Davis Plan team will also host an E Street Plaza Pop-Up Event titled “Big Games Big Ideas” on September 28th from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. which will feature an opportunity to experience a family-friendly, fun active public space featuring ping pong, corn hole and other games. Both events will have interactive boards, giving the public a chance to share their perspectives on public space in Downtown.
Community members are also encouraged to participate in an online questionnaire at www.cityofdavis.org/downtownplan, open from September 18 through October 2. Community members will be asked questions regarding Downtown Davis’s identity, housing types, public space, sustainability, and parking, all of which will help refine the draft Specific Plan.
“The Downtown Davis Plan team is currently drafting the Specific Plan and has received tremendous insight from a large number of community members, but would like additional feedback on some of the Specific Plan topics,” says Davis City Manager, Mike Webb.
The City of Davis is working to create a 2040 vision to plan for the future of Downtown and create the kind of place the community desires.
