Davis Chamber of Commerce to Host Forest Resiliency Luncheon

(From Press Release) – The public is invited to attend the Davis Chamber of Commerce’s Forest Resiliency Luncheon on Tuesday, August 13th at El Macero Country Club.

Glenda Humiston, VP of UC Davis Agriculture and Natural Resource office will be a featured speaker. Ms. Humiston will talk about the product development taking place on culling forests of dead wood, in order to lessen wildfire risks plaguing California.

Also featured will be Barbara Hayes, Chief Economic Development Officer from the Rural County Representatives of California (RCRC) who will talk about how California can manage its forests for health, and to reduce wildfires.

Doors open at 11:00 am for lunch, and program begins at 11:30 am. Davis Chamber Member tickets can be purchased for $25., nonmember tickets are $35. Tickets are available online, at the door or by calling the Davis Chamber office at 530-756-5160.

Formed in 1905, the Davis Chamber of Commerce is a membership organization with over 500 members whose mission is to promote, support, and advocate for the general economic vitality of our membership and the quality of life for our community.
