The following is about a six minute clip from the 9/16/06 Davis City Council Meeting, I invite all to watch this and see exactly what Saylor said to Heystek and then Heystek’s response.

This is cool. The technology itself is intriguing, I see why this is the hot thing.

What needs to be put right next to this piece is the streaming video moment of the Aug 1 council meeting where Souza, Asmundson and Saylor refused Heystek’s request to agendize this issue for discussion, a full 3 months before the Nov. ballot. Their explanation for denial made no sense at all, as each exclaimed that such a discussion was “premature” as there had not yet been a vote on measure K… whatever THAT has to do with the price of rice in China.

That’s a good idea.

an explanation may be in order… the line… what has That to do with the price of rice in China should not be taken literally. It is an somewhat dated expression that calls attention to non-sequiturs.

Good letter to the editor today by Gene Borack responding to Souza’s letter and mentioning the exchange. We’ve got to get the DVD and then we’ll put up on here, probably end of this week.
