The Yolo County Democratic Party will host its 39th Annual Bean Feed dinner event on Saturday, October 3, from 5 to 8 pm at Veterans Memorial Center in Davis. For 2015, this annual Democratic Party fundraiser has a new name: the Been Feed BBQ ‘n’ Brew.
This year’s theme is “The American Worker,” and scheduled speakers will spotlight issues from fair pay to fair trade. The event will feature live jazz and contemporary music, sparkling conversation and home-cooked cuisine from Davis Firefighters Local No. 3494 and the River City Democratic Club of West Sacramento.
In addition to the popular Democrats Dessert Dash contest, this year guests can participate in tastings of craft brews from local breweries, or bid in a silent auction featuring visual and wearable art by local artists.
Standard Admission is just $30 per individua, or $50 per couple in advance; Individual tickets will be $35 at the door. To order tickets online, visit ycdp2015dinner.eventbrite.com.
The annual Bean Feed is the primary fundraiser for the Yolo County Democratic Party and provides hundreds of Democrats from Yolo and neighboring counties an opportunity to network, socialize, galvanize, and focus on the work to be done in the election year ahead. All are welcome to attend.
“home-cooked cuisine from Davis Firefighters Local No. 3494”
so how we do we get the democrats locally to understand that the firefighters local 3494 is poison? and btw, they are not good cooks to begin with.
But if the grill or stove should catch fire, they will be in safe hands.
A bean feed dinner in a room full of Democrats.
With all that gas no wonder the fire dept. is involved.
credit where credit is due – good one
Thank you, I couldn’t resist.

From the picture, the face of the Davis Democrat Party is looking very aged and white. I am also guessing that a higher percentage of members are education establishment employees… mostly unionized public sector employees and public sector retirees. Hence the relationship with the Firefighters.
Birds of a feather flock together.
In this case the “feather” is over-market pay and millionaire retirement benefits.
