A Yolo County judge granted a prosecutor’s motion to impose a no-bail condition on a man accused of felony gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated, despite the accused not being present in the courtroom at the time the decision was made.
A Yolo County Superior Court judge heard arguments on whether a recently released man charged with misdemeanors should remain in custody with bail set at $10,000, or be given the chance to enter a treatment program, with the defense arguing that the accused would benefit from an outpatient program and the prosecution arguing that he cannot be trusted outside of custody.
