Oakland City Council Urged to Invest in Arts over Police Vehicles
The Anti Police-Terror Project and the Black Arts Movement Business District Community Development Corporation are calling on the Oakland City Council to restore funding for the city’s cultural affairs manager position, which would be eliminated to fund a five-year contract to lease vehicles for the Oakland Police Department.
