Community members are invited to meet Davis school board candidate Bob Poppenga at a gathering Friday evening hosted by Sally Albertson at 3111 Northfield Court in Davis. Light refreshments will be served at the get-together, which will run from 5 to 6:30 p.m. RSVP to sallyalbertson@comcast.net.
Poppenga is a parent of two, an active parent volunteer, a veterinarian and a university professor of veterinary toxicology for almost 10 years. He is one of seven candidates seeking three open seats on the Davis Board of Education in the Nov. 4 election.
