Includes All Five Mayors in Napa County, Join Dozens of Other Local Electeds
Davis Mayor Dan Wolk announced today that he has received the endorsement of eight local mayors from across the 4th Assembly District. Mayors Jill Techel of Napa, Leon Garcia of American Canyon, Chris Canning of Calistoga, Denise Loustalot of Clearlake, Jack Batchelor of Dixon, Martin Scheel of Lakeport, Alan Galbraith of St. Helena and John Dunbar of Yountville join the growing list of local and state officials who are supporting Wolk.
These local leaders said they are endorsing Wolk because of his experience and understanding of the issues most important to their communities.
“Dan Wolk has experience in local government and understands the challenges communities face,” said Mayor Techel. “He understands the effects of Sacramento legislation on local jurisdictions and the need to consult us on proposed legislation.”
Wolk now has support from more than 50 local and state officials. In addition to the eight mayors, he has earned endorsements from a number of city councilmembers, including Belia Ramos of American Canyon, Brett Lee and Rochelle Swanson of Davis and Mary Luros, Peter Mott and Scott Sedgley of Napa.
Wolk works as a Deputy County Counsel for Solano County, handling public finance, public contracting and water issues. He is also the founder of the Legal Clinic of Yolo County, a legal services provider for low-income families.
“I am proud to support Dan Wolk for Assembly because he understands the issues that affect Lake County most and has the right priorities for our community. He is committed to making our long-term water supply more reliable, developing renewable and clean energy projects and creating jobs,” said Mayor Scheel.
Assembly District 4 consists of Napa and Lake Counties, most of Yolo County, as well as portions of Sonoma, Solano and Colusa Counties.
