Feinstein Endorses Dodd

Bill DoddState Assemblyman Bill Dodd reported today picking-up a major endorsement in the race for State Senate District 3 from revered United States Senator Dianne Feinstein.

“Bill Dodd gets results on tough issues,” said Senator Feinstein. “We need more people like Bill who can solve the pressing issues facing California.

“Bill has been a leader on climate change, gender pay equity, fiscal discipline, fixing our transportation systems, and small business creation,” Senator Feinstein continued. “He is a Democrat who understands we can be both pro-business and pro-environment.”

“Receiving Senator Feinstein’s endorsement is truly an honor,” said Dodd. “Throughout her distinguished career she has been a force for the people of California and the nation.

“As a Democratic standard-bearer, Senator Feinstein has delivered over and over for working families through her strong will and principled leadership. That is the kind of leadership I want to bring as our next state senator,” continued Dodd.

Senator Feinstein is the senior senator from California. She was first elected in 1994 and is seen as one of the greatest political leaders in the Golden State’s history. During her tenure, Sen. Feinstein has chaired multiple committees, authored landmark legislation, and served as a driving force in international affairs including her leadership as past chair of the Senate Intelligence Committee.

Dodd is running for the 3rd Senate District, which includes all of Napa and Solano Counties, as well as portions of Contra Costa, Sacramento, Sonoma and Yolo Counties. It includes the cities of Petaluma, Cotati, Rohnert Park, Sonoma, Pleasant Hill, Martinez, American Canyon, Calistoga, Napa, St. Helena, Yountville, Benicia, Dixon, Fairfield, Rio Vista, Suisun City, Vacaville, Vallejo, Davis, Winters, Woodland and Isleton.

Dodd is a Democrat from Napa County. After a successful 25-year business career, Dodd served four terms on the Napa County Board of Supervisors, and currently represents the 4th Assembly District.
