Every morning, the Vanguard sends out a newsletter to just under 2000 readers. That newsletter contains an exclusive commentary or additional thoughts on the news of the day as well as a listing of articles and links.
The Vanguard also has monthly subscribers who donate at least $10 a month on a recurring basis.
Beginning on Monday, April 3, the Vanguard will be combining these in an effort to create a more stable funding stream.
There will be, starting Monday April 3, two versions of the morning newsletter.
Free version
The free version will simply be a morning notice which has links to all of the articles of the day. If you are already a current recipient of the newsletter and wish to continue to receive it, you do not need to do anything. You are already signed up for that list and you will continue to receive the free version.

Become a subscriber and receive our premium news letter
Back in September, we began our daily feature in the newsletter “Exclusive: Opening Thoughts.” This ranges from additional commentaries, behind the scenes looks at stories, added thoughts, and sneak previews on coming stories or issues.
Beginning on April 3, that feature will only be available to premium subscribers. In order to be a paid subscriber, you must sign up for at least a $10 per month recurring donation.
Please note that anyone who is already donating $10 per month will automatically received the premium newsletter – unless they have opted out of the newsletter. (If you have opted out of the newsletter, you will have to re-subscribe first and then become a premium member).
The premium newsletter will be ad free and not have separate promotional emails in the future.
