Collectively we represent 116 years of service to this community in elected office and many more in community service.
With decades of public service we believe it is an ethical conflict to have a husband and wife team sit on the Woodland City Council and the Yolo County Board of Supervisors at the same time. It may not be illegal, but it is wrong. What Tom and Meg Stallard are attempting to do is a political power grab.
We are fortunate to have a great alternative to Meg Stallard for the Board of Supervisors. Former Mayor and current community college trustee Gary Sandy will make an excellent Supervisor. He has a long history of bringing people together and will be able to unite this community during difficult times.
