Ending hunger and malnutrition in all of Yolo County is certainly no easy task. And Yolo Food Bank’s goal of increasing food distributions 50% in the coming fiscal year from 4 million pounds p.a. currently ($10 million impact) is ambitious indeed. The Yolo Food Bank is an organization near and dear to our hearts. For over 50 years they have fought food insecurity in Yolo County. What started as a volunteer-run backyard gleaning program has grown into an organizational network of staff, volunteers and nearly 70 partner agencies responsible for distributing 4 million pounds of food each year in Yolo County. But, they are not yet able to meet all of food insecurity needs. Let’s help them expand their reach!
