The Davis Innovation Center team has scheduled several meetings in the next few weeks to seek community input. They plan to submit their application to the City of Davis in mid-September and want to hear from as many Davis residents as possible about what attributes are important to them in an innovation center.
The first of these public meetings is TONIGHT, August 28, 6 p.m. at Davis City Hall. There will be two other meetings, on September 3 and 4, at Harper Junior High School and Davis High School.

Empower Yolo Presents Rebels with a Cause: Driving Out Violence
On Saturday, September 20, Empower Yolo – Yolo County’s largest provider of services to women and children – will host Rebels with a Cause: Driving Out Violence to further Empower Yolo’s essential, life-saving crisis intervention services and violence prevention education benefiting our community. Rebels with a Cause: Driving Out Violence will take place at the renowned Reiff’s Antique Gas Station Museum – Woodland’s very own automotive landmark of vintage 1950s memorabilia, antiques, and classic car culture. This 50s-inspired end-of-summer soiree will feature classic Doo-wop, Motown and 50s hits by local favorites: Frankie and the Fabletones and Roadhouse 5. Further, the event will feature a classic car show and 50s costume contest, silent auction by Pacific Auction Company, prizes and more!
This funky-fly flashback to the 50s will take place Saturday, September 20t from 4:00pm – 10:00pm at Reiff’s Gas Station Museum at 52 Jefferson Street in Woodland.
