Humankind is on the brink of another world war, and the only way to avoid it is for individuals to undergo a psychological revolution and recognize that the world is not separate from us.
Localism, while understandable, is a counterproductive response to the planetary ecological and socio-political crisis, as it emphasizes the parts before the whole and ultimately contributes to the fragmentation of the Earth and humanity.
The current ecological crisis is exacerbated by the “us vs. them” mentality and the rapacious global capitalistic system, which is perpetuated by the tyranny of the profit motive and power flowing from egoism and greed, and without a psychological revolution that ends this, any technological fixes will only increase the fragmentation of the earth and hasten its collapse.
