The system of patriarchy has historically erased women’s identities by taking their names, property, inheritance, and legal standing, and the only way to break free from this system is to create a new name that is not inherited from a man.
The United States is experiencing a slow, grinding massacre of women, with 78 rapes per hour and 683,000 rapes per year, while the “pro-life” movement is strangely silent about the victims and is instead focused on controlling women’s bodies.
Women are under no obligation to look pretty, and it’s time to challenge the oppressive standards that have been imposed on them for centuries, and create a world where they are valued for who they are, not how they look.
