A man stood up in a Vacaville town hall meeting to defend his father’s right to practice his faith with dignity, but was met with threats of violence from a mob that was actually opposing a request for better plumbing at the local mosque.
CAIR-LA released a report showing a sharp rise in anti-Muslim discrimination in the US, with Florida, Illinois, Minnesota, Oklahoma and Texas being particularly affected, and the increase being attributed to anti-Muslim narratives spread by public officials.
