The Davis Vanguard invites the public to a Council Candidates Forum on Wednesday, May 14, 2014, at the Veteran’s Memorial Center Multipurpose Room located at 203 East 14th Street, in Davis.   It will go from 6:30 to 8:30 pm.

The candidates, all of whom have confirmed attendance, will be asking each other critical questions facing the Davis community this spring. The audience have the opportunity to fill out note cards and ask their own questions.

David Greenwald, Executive Director of the Davis Vanguard encourages members of the public to attend stating, “This forum is a great chance for constituents to hear the candidates’ views and ideas on a variety of issues facing our city. Attendees will also have an opportunity to ask questions of the candidates. Since absentee ballots are being mailed out shortly from the County Clerk’s office we believe this is an opportune time for the public to educate themselves on the candidates’ stances. The Davis Vanguard is sponsoring this event, because we firmly believe that education and dialogue with all members of the public is important.
