Most Davisites, the 88.5% who voted against Trump, are probably like me: sick from the steady stream of news out of Washington.

Some of us we have tried to build up our resistance even in the face of attempts to roll back health insurance coverage.

But we fear for our health when they rolling back auto pollution standards.   And fear even more bad air smoke when folks from Washington DC tell us the strange tale that wild-fires have nothing to do with Climate Change.

And we note even healthy farms economy: We have 25% tariff on Soy Bean (source of Tofu) and 50% tariff on Yolo County’s key crop almonds going in place due to Trump’s Tariff War.

And our psychological health is threaten exposure to racist and sexist rhetoric . We wonder if we are still connected to reality when our leaders lies, and justify by saying “Truth is not Truth”.

And who is not instantly sick to their stomach after hearing stores of children of political refugees torn from their parents.

I know of others who are chilled to the bone from with fear of contact with ICE.

Are you also experiencing these symptom of a sick Federal Government– despite everything you’ve done to increase your Resistance?

Well, it is time to put down the placebos of Chocolate and Ambien™  and treat the real disease.

Elective Surgery is needed in Congress.

This Saturday in Davis there is an event where anyone who wants flip congress — can find a way to act instead of suffering in silence.  This therapeutic effort will link Davisites up with Democratic campaigns in currently GOP districts flip them.

Those who come will learn find something they can do to help our sick country get better, action they can take with their fellow sufferer: be they spouses, neighbors, or a support group of political activist is already running.   While this won’t give instant relief, with just a few hours of work you will feel better having stood up for the Common Good.

And this election-therapy don’t necessarily require travel to a remote congressional district: you will learn things you can do right from your own kitchen table.

This public health event is organized by an unprecedented alliance of 6 local groups with help of 15 different congressional campaigns. They encourage you to come at 1 pm to get training, but you can also come late at  3pm for the Volunteer fair.  And if you can’t make it, sign up as  a “Not Attending Volunteer” on Eventbrite.

Saturday 8/25 at Davis Senior Center  6th x A Street near City Hall. 3pm.

Put down that Chocolate, increase your resistance by hydrating yourself by joining the Blue Wave.

Go to  YoloBlueWave.EventBrite.Org to register or sign up to volunteer.
